Yoga has always been a way for me to relax and stretch, to mentally decompress, and to bring balance into my daily life over the past 15 years.   As a runner and NY Marathoner, I found that yoga also helped me loosen my tight hamstrings and finally touch my toes after years of practice.

What made me decide to delve deeper into yoga?  When I moved to New York in 2013,  life was a bit hectic.  Going to the yoga studio a few times a week gave me the clarity and physical grounding that I needed. Eventually, I realized what a profound and positive effect yoga had on my spirit and well-being.  I felt a calling that my next step forward was yoga teacher training.   

I researched many studios and found my home at ISHTA Yoga in 2014.  In one year, I completed my 500 Hour RYT certification.  During training, I studied the ancient teachings of Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda- and continue to share those philosophies and practices in my classes today.   I have deep gratitude for my mentors and teachers: Peter Ferko, Wendy Newton, Mona Anand, Puy Navarro, Kristin Leal, Ulrica Norberg, Sarah Finger, and Alan Finger.

Today, I live in Jersey City with my husband.  When not practicing or teaching, I spend my days in the corporate world in Program Management.  And as I am a well rounded yogi, I also spend time exploring NYC and JC, traveling, making Ayurvedic skincare products, enjoying wine and cheese and playing with my niece and nephews back in Massachusetts.
